When the temperatures plunged in New York, most responsible owners brought their pets inside...one owner was responsible enough to know that her dog could not be left in the bitter cold, but she did not want to bring her indoors, so instead, the dog was surrendered.
The Hempstead Town Animal Shelter wrote the following about a beautiful German shepherd named Queenie:
This week when it got brutally cold, the owner called us to pick her up since it was too cold and she couldn't leave her outside… she also didn't want to bring her inside. I think we can all agree that that was the best move for Queenie! So lets all work together to find this deserving girl, the wonderful, loving, caring home she deserves.
The four-year-old dog is described as "friendly to all," and though she has spent her life as a "yard dog," she certainly deserves a new owner who will bring her in the house to be part of the family and allow her to know the comforts of being an inside dog.
