"Sasha," a 15-year-old Pomeranian, had a family and a home until this week - but today, the elderly dog is just another homeless dog in need behind the bars of her kennel run at a busy animal control facility in southern California.
Sasha was surrendered to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control "Carson" facility in Gardena on August 27. On the Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, the following information was posted about Sasha:
My former family who owned me for more than 5 years had to give me up because But they said that I spend time indoors and outdoors. I seem to be good with small children. I have begun housetraining, but I still need some work. I am learning how to walk on a leash. I seem to get along well with dogs.
Of note, the actual reason that Sasha was surrendered to the facility is not included in the Facebook page post...whether it was due to a move, allergies or a change in the family's living situation, is a mystery.
