Update 4/9/14 - Raas is safe!!

Raas, an 18-month-old pit bull mix, was surrendered to the New York Animal Care and Control facility in Manhattan on March 27 - now, he is on the dreaded "to be destroyed" list, despite a plethora of glowing attributes from volunteers who have met him.

On April 2, a volunteer wrote:

A volunteer writes: Raas is such a dreamboat, a dog so practically perfect that I'm still swooning several days after our first date! Loving, playful, affectionate, well-behaved and of course, stunningly handsome, this sweet gentleman is simply the best of the best!

There are no words or pictures that could truly do justice to what a wonderful pet Raas is but just check out these intake notes from his former owner: 'Calm, joyous', 'very playful', 'knows sit, lie down, walks well on leash', 'gets along with children', 'housebroken, paper trained' and the one that I think basically sums everything up - 'no behavior issues at all'

Despite the dreamy review, Raas is said to be on the list of dogs to be destroyed on Monday, April 7.

Please take a moment to network Raas' information, before he is lost forever.
