On April 18, a young, German shepherd mix found herself sitting in a kennel run at the Brunswick County Animal Shelter in Lawrenceville, Va., after her guardian died.
The dog, name unknown, did not ask to be put into this precarious situation - in fact, if she was given a choice, she would likely opt to be almost anywhere other than here.
For reasons unknown, when the dog's owner died, no family or friends offered to take this beautiful girl in - today, her future is uncertain because her time is limited.
The following tidbits have been shared about this sweet dog:
She was calm and friendly in the kennel with Animal Control Officer Craig Martin and Bev Menier/Stray Haven.
Of note: These dogs have a limited amount of time at the shelter. The AC officers/employees are rescue friendly.
