OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network is launching its premiere weekend on New Year Day, January 1, 2011, so the start of the new year is also the start of the new network, according to a November, 2010 press release from OWN. The launch weekend will include a sampler of the different shows on the OWN schedule. The OWN program schedule for the launch weekend is listed in this article.

"During our launch weekend, the audience will see a little of everything OWN has to offer," said Christina Norman, chief executive officer, OWN, in a press release. "Oprah as they've never seen her in Season 25: Oprah Behind The Scenes, expert advice from Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil and Suze Orman to get their year started right on Ask Oprah's All-Stars and sneak peeks at the kinds of shows we believe really fulfill our mission to be entertaining and inspiring."
The OWN programming which focuses on inspiring people to live their best life, will include original series and specials. The programs will be entertaining, informing and inspiring, according to OWN.

OWN will be the exclusive home of the popular TV psychologist in the Best of Dr. Phil, showcasing the first off broadcast exhibition of the hit syndicated, daily one-hour talk show Dr. Phil, hosted by America's most popular psychologist and lifestyle strategist, Dr. Phil McGraw.
OWN will also be premiering in the U.S. Anna & Kristina's Grocery Bag, where the test-driving twosome review recipes and put cookbooks to the test to see if the average cook can re-create the meals at home. The hit decorating show Trading Spaces, is also joining OWN's weekday lineup with new wraps from host Paige Davis.
OWN has launched a online destination, Your OWN Channel, so viewers can interact with the new network. The first opportunity Your OWN Channel offers is a chance for the community to upload their questions for Dr. Phil, Suze Orman and Dr. Oz for the four-part primetime special Ask Oprah's All-Stars.
