Helping to ensure it's a long hot summer, Nashville-area resident down-under superstar and American Idol judge Keith Urban recently announced plans to bring his "Light the Fuse" tour's explosive energy into the town of Music City on the first of February in 2014. Now, he's making even more connections for the holiday season: by bringing an exclusive worldwide guitar collection launch to Home Shopping Network, starting tonight (11/2 at 11 PM central).
The URBAN Guitar Collection, which includes two one-hour instructional DVDs and his first custom created, limited-edition acoustic and electric guitar line, will become available for sale exclusively on HSN, HSN.com and via HSN Mobile on Sunday, November 3rd, 2013 at 12:01 A.M (EST). A portion of the proceeds from the URBAN™ Guitar Collection, as well as guitar packages, will go to the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation and The Grammy Foundation.
The URBAN Collection features two versions of the “Phoenix Edition” guitar – electric and acoustic/electric – and will be available in Brazilian Burst, Emerald Brazilian Burst, Rich Black and Vintage Natural Ivory. It is part of a 21-piece set that includes a custom amplifier, coated guitar strings, embroidered guitar strap, guitar picks and more.
“We are thrilled to welcome Keith Urban to HSN,” said Joy Mangano, President of Ingenious Designs, a subsidiary of HSN. “Great stories and great storytelling are at the heart of everything we do and I can’t think of a better guitarist and storyteller than Keith. His guitar playing skills are legendary and the passion he has for music will surely inspire our viewers to pick up a guitar and play.”
Tickets for the Nashville concert at Bridgestone Arena (with openers Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town) go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 through Ticketmaster, 1-800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com. An exclusive pre-sale is available to fan club members on Nov. 5th. Please go to http://www.keithurban.net for details. Urban released his new album Fuse on Sept. 1st. It includes Urban’s most recent No. 1 “Little Bit of Everything” as well as his current Top 10 hit “We Were Us,” a duet with Miranda Lambert.
So tune in tonight (or to one of the multiple other collection presentations) find a few good buddies, and start a band.
