Owl themed items a hot niche on eBay

Who said owls aren't cool? Owl-themed products and gifts are among the hottest animal themed items on sites like eBay and Pinterest. The owl is a symbol of wisdom, intuition, and being able to see what others cannot. Owl enthusiasts can find everything from clothing, home decor, handmade items, bedding, baby items, jewelry, and pet products. The sororities Chi Omega and Kappa Kappa Gamma use the owl as their mascot, so active members and alumni are big collectors of owl-themed items.

Some examples of the owl's popularity on eBay:

Baby and toddler clothing category shows over 5,000 sold listings with the keyword owl in the title. The highest priced item was a Persnickety skirt set size 3-4 that sold for $115.

Women's handbags and shopping bags show over 4,000 completed sold listings using the keyword owl. The most expensive item was a beaded Judith Leiber vintage handbag that sold for $2,499.

Fashion jewelry shows over 105,000 items with the keyword owl. One notable item was a sterling silver and diamond ring that sold for $445.

Home and Garden shows over 9,000 results for owl-themed items. Strangely enough the highest priced item is a lot of 1,500 small owl pellets, tin foil wrapped and sterilized that sold for $600.

Cell Phones and Accessories show 12,197 items with the keyword owl in the title. Several Samsung Galaxy hard case owl-themed covers with rhinestones are at the top of the list.

You get the idea. It is wise to pay attention to anything with an owl theme because it will probably be a good seller on eBay.
