The HR Leader is responsible for providing business leadership and functional expertise in human resources to the Rockford, IL foam plant and Ladysmisth, WI interior systems plant.
The HR Leaeer will be an effective change agent who works to positively engage the workforce at all levels within the facilities. This is a key position to the plant leadership teams, and would be responsible for managing and delivering HR strategies and tactics in order to engage employees and develop talent capable of delivering business results.
The position would report to the division human resources leader for the foam and interior systems businesses and is an integral member of the HR team for the Building Materials Group. The position also reports to the local plant managers.
Responsibilities
- Safety initiatives and processes to drive toward zero recordable injuries.
- Effectively communicate Safety strategy and performance to employees and engage them in the system and process leadership.
- Role model for growth, and a developer of fair treatment.
- Feedback from Plant NLT members.
- Eliminate waste through a Kaizen standard work, etc.
- Involvement in specific customer focused activities.
- Plant SAFE and Critical 6 scores, RIR.Co-leads with Corporate Labor Relations to ensure plant labor agreements to support business results and business strategy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements pertaining to the management of HR to minimize risk and exposure to the company.
Job Requirement
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, human resources management or a related field is required. Master's degree in businessm human resources or a related field is preferred.
- A Minimum of 5 years of Plant HR Generalist experience is required.
- Labor Relations experience.
