Overland Park CVB promotes Garton to director

The Overland Park Convention and Visitors Bureau (OPCVB) is pleased to announce the promotion of Amy Garton to Director of Interactive Solutions. Garton has served as the OPCVB’s Interactive Marketing Manager for nearly five years.

“We recognize the growing importance of online communications and social media efforts in today’s marketplace,” said Jerry Cook, president of the OPCVB. “We believe Overland Park will be better equipped in the future with the creation of this new position.”

Garton’s role will include management of the OPCVB’s website, www.visitoverlandpark.com, social media presence, online marketing efforts, emerging medias and technical equipment.

“This title was selected because it emphasizes the role of finding solutions to make our business strategies more effective and efficient for the customer. And, we are most fortunate to have on staff a person, like Amy, who is very skillful in these areas, as well as having the vision to take us where we need to be,” continued Cook.
