A Daily Word from the Word for Monday, February 17, 2014

“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” – Hebrews 4:12

Do you want to start conquering that situation, rather than continuing to let that situation conquer you, my brother? Are you tired of being tired because your circumstance is sucking the very life out of you, my sister? Then have I got good news for you! The good news? It’s the Gospel of Jesus Christ! It is the living Word of God! Speak what God has spoken concerning you, your circumstance, and your situation!

As sons and daughters of the Most Powerful King, we do not bow to our circumstances; we make our circumstances bow to the Word of God! As children of the Most High God, we do not fall prey to our situation; instead we cut our undesirable situation into pieces with the sword of God’s Word!

The Greek word for “living” as used in this verse is zao (pr. dzah-o) meaning “to live, life, quick”(Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance). God’s Word is living and active; where “active” is energes (pr. en-er-gace), and means “operative, effectual, powerful.” Stop allowing your circumstance and situation to put you on the surgical table and operate on you! You carry the living, powerful, and active Word of God within you! Take authority over that which has authority of you! You come off that bed of suicide right now, and you put that thing which is making you sick on the operating table and read it its last rites! Stop playing with that circumstance, my brother; stop flirting with that situation, my sister. Instead, kill it and kill it quickly!

God’s Word is “sharper.” The Greek word for “sharper” (tomoteros, pr. tom-o-ter-os) is “to cut by a single stroke; unlike hacking, which implies repeated blows.” Are you catching this, family? The Word of God is so sharp that all it requires is one quick, decisive, intentional, swift, directed, powerful blow to cut the head off of that beast! If you are hacking away at your problem, then you aren’t using God’s Word. I don’t know what kind of dull or rusty sword you’ve picked up, but it isn’t God’s Sword.

Do you need a win, my brother? Are you holding out for a break-through, my sister? Then pick up God’s Word and bring that thing that has been holding you back to an utter end with one fatal blow.

Father, thank You for Your Word, which is living, active, and sharper than any double-edged sword. Teach us, Most Holy Creator, how to wield Your Word to be victorious in every situation and circumstance. Condition us to walk in complete victory by working out with us each day with Your Word. In Jesus Name, we thank You that we have already overcome by the Blood of Jesus and the Word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). Amen and Amen!

Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to train with the Creator of the Universe each and every day by working out with His Word. Choose to wield the weapon of God’s Word against every undesirable situation and circumstance in your life. And continue to fight the good fight of walking softly, but carrying a big sword; for God, your Sharpened Blade, has already given you the victory!

If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!

God tells us that we are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Be a blessing to someone by sending them this word of encouragement. If God did not already put someone in your spirit and on your heart that needs to read this uplifting message from above, simply ask your Heavenly Father who to bless on today. Forward this message right now by email, facebook, or twitter.

Jesus is coming soon!

May God Bless you and keep you always.

With warmest regards,

And, in service of The Most High King,
