Over 40 Females, a leading networking platform for women over 40, hosted a Shopping and Networking Event at Christopher Fischer last week. Judy Goss, Founder & CEO of Over 40 Females and Beth Mercante, COO of Over 40 Females hosted the evening with guest speaker Laura Campbell. Over 40 Females guests shopped the Christopher Fischer cashmere collection while networking and building new relationships. Guests enjoyed cocktails provided by Devotion Vodka poured over Früzen Ice cubes, a revolutionary alternative to garnish and chill beverages. The evening’s event also included a silent auction benefiting StopCAIDNow, a non-profit organization dedicated to stopping childhood auto inflammatory diseases. 10% of membership purchases for the evening as well as 10% of Christopher Fischer purchases were also donated to the cause.
Guests networked and mingled before Founder & CEO of Over 40 Females, Judy Goss, welcomed everyone to the evening. Judy spoke of how Over 40 Females™ came to fruition when she traveled as a spokesperson for More Magazine. As a spokesperson, she met hundreds of women and heard their stories yet there was not enough room to fit them all in the magazine, “I wanted to bring the pages of More Magazine to life and how could I do that when I was saying no to 90% of the women out there,” said Goss. This is why she started Over 40 Females™, for women over 40 to be heard and to “Connect, Encourage and Inspire.”
Judy then introduced guest speaker Laura Campbell, love intentionalist and divorce strategist who spoke about “Your Journey to Extraordinary.” Campbell spoke about her life and how after being married at a young age, she turned around at 35 and realized that she needed a change. She no longer wanted to live in a “good enough” life and now wants to encourage other women to believe they should “love what they want and move toward the way they want to feel.”
Silent auction items benefiting StopCAIDNow included a day of beauty at Angelo David Salon, a 60 minute signature facial from La Prairie at the Ritz-Carlton Spa, two tickets to the We Are Family Foundation Sting concert, a Christian Dior skincare basket, two tickets to the Broadway Show Pump Boys and Dinettes starring Bo Bice, two Tamara Noor necklaces, a Christopher Fischer cashmere scarf, products from The Joey Healy Eyebrow Collection and a Tilth Beauty basket. Raffle items included a 30 minute signature reading by Celebrity Psychic Thomas John, a 30-day unlimited training trial and 50 minute recovery massage from End Game Fitness and a $100 gift certificate to the new Ivy restaurant which were awarded to lucky attendees.
Over 40 Females combines education with pampering at every event, along with providing a platform for every woman to stand up and be heard. Events are designed to help women over the age of 40 with personal and professional networking, in order to enhance their lives and careers, while also affording them the opportunity to “Connect, Encourage and Inspire.” Members and non-members also have to opportunity to win raffle prizes as well as receive amazing gift bags.
