Elle Macpherson divulged her over 40 beauty tips to ABC News on Monday. But are Elle’s tricks true beauty secrets or just a marketing ploy to promote the supermodel’s new Super Elixir?

There is no doubt the just-turned 50-year-old six-foot-tall model looks half her age, a fact she credits to The Super Elixir. Last week Elle Macpherson posted a hot bikini social media shot of herself as she held a cup of “super greens” reported Us Weekly. The supplement formula created with the help of Dr. Simone Laubscher is comprised of “highly specialized alkalizing greens, vitamins, minerals and trace elements to assist wellness and vitality.” The concoction is one of the ways the mother of two defies her age. However, Elle has more over 40 beauty tips, besides good DNA, which she divulged to "Good Morning America’s" Sarah Haines.

Born in South Wales, but raised in Sydney, Elle Macpherson earned the nickname “The Body” thanks to her record of five covers for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues. Her lean body type allows for Elle to skip the gym, but not exercise. She prefers outdoor sports such as hiking, surfing, biking or running, and told “GMA,” it's not really just about making sure you look thin, but it's actually something you should enjoy doing."

Elle Macpherson’s additional over 40 beauty tips include laughter, “it changes your spirit and the way others’ perceive you,” an alkaline diet of “vegetables, some fish, not much protein and no coffee or alcohol,” eight hours of sleep a day, proper daily skin care that includes exfoliating and moisturizing, and her best advice, the “clichéd drinking of three liters of water a day.” The supermodel also touted the effects of The Super Elixir on her website, which supplements the alkaline diet, and in doing so has stabilized her moods, provided more energy and eliminated sugar cravings, great health and beauty tips for menopausal women, but nonetheless a product promotion.
