Over 150 attend Marlborough focus groups

Last week MEDC successfully hosted 13 Focus groups which were well attended and yielded much useful information for the consultants to use as they shape the city’s economic development master plan. The workshops conducted by Ken Buckland of the Cecil Group  posed a number of questions to the participants. How do you see your involvement in the economic development of the city? Where do you see Marlborough in five years? What does the city need to  be doing to attract and retain more business? These and similar questions elicited very constructive feedback and positive  input from the business owners, residents and professionals of Marlborough. There was a great sense of citizens being truly concerned and invested in the future of their city.

Some of the best attended sessions were Educators, Youth & Social Services; Commercial Property Owners, Landlords and Managers; Sports, Tourism, Hotel & Restaurant Operators; Urban Core Property  & Business Owners; Housing Developers, Owners & CDA; and East Side Business, Property Owners & Residents.
