PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Rozell Nunn, F • Jr., 6-4, 205 • Kansas City, Kan. • SIUE

Nunn became the first SIUE player to be named OVC Player of the Week since the Cougars joined the league in leading his team to home victories over Austin Peay and Murray State last week. The junior averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals/game while hitting 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the field in the two games. The transfer from Hutchinson Community College started the week with 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals against the Govs, including securing an offensive rebound, connecting on a putback and making the subsequent free throw to give his team a two-point lead with 12 seconds to play. He followed that with a season-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting and added seven rebounds as the Cougars topped the Racers for the second-straight season as well as handing them their first OVC loss of the season.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Evan Bradds, G/F • Fr., 6-6, 200 • Jamestown, Ohio • Belmont

Bradds earned OVC Freshman of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after averaging 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds/game and hitting 50 percent (5-of-10) from the field in a pair of road games. Bradds had 13 points, six rebounds, an assist and a block in Saturday’s road win over Tennessee State. In that contest he hit 4-of-7 field goals and 5-of-6 at the free throw line in 29 minutes off the bench. To start the week at Eastern Kentucky he had six points and five rebounds in 19 minutes.
