Outsider Art Fair 2014 in New York this week

For the past twenty one years the Outsider Art Fair has been the world’s foremost annual show of Outsider, Self-Taught and Folk Art. It usually takes place in the winter but this year for the first time it will take place in the spring from Thursday May 8 through Sunday May 11, 2014 in New York City.

The Outsider Art Fair showcases work by artists who have been obscure, neglected or invisible. There will be over forty international galleries installed on three floors on Center 548. Eleven galleries are scheduled to return offering newly discovered works by legendary outsiders. This year’s fair will feature artists from countries including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, New Zealand, and Brazil.

  • Baumann + Muksian - Basel/San Francisco

Time:
Thursday May 8 – Early access is from 3p.m. to 6p.m and the general vernissage is from 6p.m. to 9p.m.
Friday May 9th and Saturday May 10th - 11a.m. to 8p.m.
Sunday May 11th - 11a.m. to 6p.m.

Tickets:
Admission for early access is $100. The general vernissage is $50. Daily tickets for the remainder of the show will be $20 and an all access pass is $50. Tickets may be purchased online or in person at the fair.
