Outlier clothing lets you bike commute in style

Bike commuting is becoming bigger than ever, especially in Columbus where new commuters are found riding every day.  But for every commuter, there are probably ten people who would commute if only...

"...it wasn't so far."

"...my bike was better suited."

"...I had a place to get cleaned up."

"...I didn't have to wear those silly bike clothes."

Yes, some people actually think they can't cycle without dressing the part, in brightly colored spandex and more.  And let's face it - it's a hassle to have to wear work clothes on your bike if you're going to have to sit in them all day, and it's a hassle to have to change clothes when you get to work and before you head back out.

But these days, with cycling becoming increasingly popular, more companies are putting out clothes just for cyclists and other active people who still want to look good while they ride.  Companies like Cordarounds, Arc'teryx and Muxu have shown us their wares in the past, and now another entry to the scene has come to our attention: Outlier.

Outlier specializes in bike commuting clothes, from their original 4Season OG pants to their new windbreakers like the Storm King Parka.  Their fabrics shuck liquids not only from the road but from spills of all sorts (one reviewer points out how even spilled red wine beaded up and came right off the pants with no stain), stretch enough to be comfortable while riding or moving but not so much that they are spandex-looking, and are breathable, something every cyclist wants.

With a full line of clothes for men and women, including shirts, pants, outerwear, and even hats and scarves, Outlier looks like a great addition to a growing line of great clothiers for active people who want to look good riding.  So far, retailers aren't available in Columbus, but they do online sales, and their retailers are listed in case you're travelling and want to try some on before buying.
