The Outer Bridge Ensemble will perform at The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in Branchburg on Thursday, November 14, at noon and 7 p.m.
The performances are part of The Theatre at RVCC’s Club28 series.
Formed in New Jersey in 2003, the Outer Bridge Ensemble features a core group of musicians led by pianist and composer Steve Hudson, drummer Jerome Jennings, percussionist David Freeman and saxophonist Mark DeJong.
This modern, creative jazz group successfully weaves together such uncommon musical genres as tango, funk, klezmer, punk, avant-garde, Indian music and classical music. The group is known for its high level of musicianship, as well as its original music. Audiences throughout the world respond enthusiastically to the ensemble’s unique sound and style.
Tickets for Club28 performances cost $10 for the noon performances and $25 for the 7 p.m. performances. Each noon performance is set in on-stage theatre-style seating and is approximately one hour in length. The evening shows, set in a relaxed, on-stage cabaret setting, are approximately two hours long and include light snacks.
Other offerings in the Club28 series include Robin Spielberg Holiday Concert, December 12; Tim Farrell, March 20; and The International String Trio, May 1.
