Outdoor Retailer Winter Market new product recap: Day 1, Part 1 (Photos)

Darn Tough Vermont unveiled four new socks for Fall 2013 at Outdoor Retailer: Two new Light Cushion socks and two new ski/ride socks.

The Light Cushion Hike/Trek sock delivers all the performance of their traditional cushion sock, but with 50 percent less wool yarn weight. Fit, temperature regulation, wicking ability, cushioning and durability have not been compromised in the making of this sock.

In the Lifestyle department, it’s a new light cushion women's with cool designs. For skiers and snowboarders, the bulk-free, ultra-light, high-performing Function 5 (F5) comes with five precisely located comfort pads to help offset the pressure points inherent to most ski boots. Ladies? DTV has something very special for you: A fun and sophisticated over-the-calf padded cushion ski/ride sock called the Edelweiss.

All socks will hit market in Fall 2013.

Ellington Handbags debuted four new purses: Tracy Tote, Charlie Tote, Valerie Crossbody and the Annie Hobo. The Tracy Tote is made in the U.S.A. with drum-dyed leather, smooth ECO Leather shoulder straps, an interior zip pocket and large slip pocket. You’ll have four color options: Blue, Gray, Green and Paprika (reddish). The Tracy will be available on Ellington’s website after February 22nd.

For the 2013/14 season, Swix is changing the game with the debut of an adjustable pole collection for skiers and snowshoers. The Swix Sonic Adjustable Poles include four different models that range in size and price from $99 (aluminum) up to $249 (lightweight carbon). Easily adjustable system handles and straps have a universal ergonomic fit for hand and glove.

A new Adjustable Locking System is located higher up on the pole to improve performance and reduce weight and the all-alloy locking mechanism can be completely disassembled without tools for durability and reliability.

SIGG debuted the Active Top bottle, which has a rotary slide valve control system, along with a selection of selection of clever designs inspired by Cuipo and their initiative to save the rainforest one meter at a time.

Polarmax added new fabrics and base layers. Additions to their line include Travel Silk™, their lightest material to date. Also, two new lines, Micro H1 and Micro H2, which are part of their new All Year Gear category, casual base layers made for everyday wear.

The Micro H1 and Micro H2 are extensions of the fabric Polarmax debuted at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2012. It got praise for its superior breathability and amazingly soft hand.

All new fabrics will be available in men’s and women’s tops and bottoms for Fall ’13.

Redfeather Snowshoes tweaked the Redfeather Vapor (voted Best Running Snowshoe of the Year) and Pace 25 snowshoes for even greater trailrunning and racing performance. The Redfeather Pace for women now gets a 30 inch size. And then there is The Thunderbolt “binding-less” attachment system, that literally integrates runner, running shoe, and running snowshoe as one complete system. Redfeather introduced modern snowshoe running and racing to the general public, and then, as always, we are Handcrafted in the USA.

AVEX, producer of breakthrough travel mugs and water bottles for sport and fitness enthusiasts, debut a new high-performance water bottle that features their patented AUTOSEAL® and patent-pending AUTOSPOUT™ technology. New AVEX products include the 32oz insulated stainless steel Brazos with AUTOSEAL.
