For those needing an outdoor break from the indoor casino action, three Atlantic City casinos have opened their annual summer beach bars, and Trump Marina has once again opened The Deck.
Bally's - Formerly known as Bally's Bikini Beach Bar, Sammy Hagar's Beach Bar at Bally's, left, is Sammy Hagar's first beach-bar enterprise on the East Coast. Better known as "The Red Rocker" and founder of the Cabo Wabo tequila brand and restaurant chain, Hager was the second of three singers for Van Halen. Specializing in Tex-Mex food and tequila-infused cocktails, Sammy's has live entertainment Thursdays through Saturdays, and DJs the rest of the week. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Happy Hour is Sunday through Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Hilton - The only beach bar located between the dunes and the Boardwalk, the Hilton Beach Bar features live entertainment, tropical drinks, a variety of summer snacks, special events and giveaways. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Trump Marina - With no beach at its doorstep, Trump Marina opened The Deck. Featuring live bands nightly with drink specials and an extensive menu, The Deck at Trump Marina also serves breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sundays. In addition, there is live music all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours are noon to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, there is a Sunset Happy Hour every Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Trump Plaza - The Beach Bar at Trump Plaza, right, features live bands and entertainment nightly, tropical drink specials and dancing. The only beach bar with its own kitchen, there is an extensive food menu to complement its equally extensive bar menu. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and until 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Happy Hour is every Sunday through Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
