Whatever is designed from the vast heavens, there is certainly the "speech" and "knowledge" of the Creator. Written like a huge signature across the stellar universe is a "language' that speaks clearly to every human being over all time and in all cultures.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun. which as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strongman to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof" (Psalm 19:1-6) (KJV).
The apostle Paul, perhaps the best educated intellectual of the New Testament writers, stunned the sophisticated scholars and world leaders of his day by noting :
"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse" (Romans 1:20) (KJV).
Like David who wrote Psalm 19, a thousand years before, both writers insisted that there was a continual streaming communication from the Creator that made aspects of His attributes so clear that anyone who questioned the reality of an omnipotent and omniscient Creator was "without excuse".
Our special solar system is so unique to the other solar systems that new research is shedding a surprising light on the uniqueness of our solar system. Over 250 planet-like objects have been observed in distant space. Northwestern University researchers are finding that extrasolar planets do not look like our local planets at all. Our 8 official (poor pluto is not considered a planet anymore) planets (with their over 130 satellites) should be like the 250 extrasolar planet-like objects according to the "nebular theory", but they are not. "According to the Northwestern study, our solar system appears to be pretty "special". It could be described as well designed. The book of Genesis recounts the creation of the sun, moon, and stars. If its narrative account is true, then of course we would expect the handiwork of this Creator to be pretty special." (Brian Thomas, Astronomers speak: Our solar system is "special", ICR news, posted on ICR.org August 14, 2008).
The amazing thing about our universe, our solar system and our earth is that they were created in six days (Exodus 20:11).
