Our pick on Nashville TV for the weekend Feb 12
With this week's TV schedule in front of us, we thought we'd just pick out a highlight to tell our readers about. Ok. The Super Bowl is gone for the year, now we need to see some exciting TV shows in Nashville.
Our pick for Sunday TV viewing will be the 'Grammy Awards'. We're looking to see the crowd of celebrities as they walk the 'Red Carpet'. The Grammy Awards will be on Nashville TV station News Channel 5, WTVF, the local CBS affiliate at 7 pm CST.
Among the Nashville celebs we will see perform: Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, and The Civil Wars.
There will be a special tribute to entertainer Glen Campbell, one of the most-loved singers in and around Nashville. There were recently shows titled "Goodbye Tour for Glen Campbell' which were held at the Ryman Auditorium, famed home of the Grand Ole Opry. Seats were at a premium for this event because Glen Campbell so touched our lives during his musical career, with the second show being added due to the prompt sell-out of the one originally planned 'Goodbye Tour' show.
Some of the Grammy nominees are from Nashville, with too many to name in this small space but we hope for the best for all of them. It is hard to choose between some of them when there are so many good singers from Nasnville. The country category for the Grammy Awards IS Nashville!
