Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Pizza & Sound of Music Live on NBC. These are a few of my favorite things.
As a child I grew up watching movies with my family. During most of my childhood we were all in a one room house so my parents had to keep tabs on what was on television cause they could not hide away to another room to watch something they did not want me to see. Now as a mom, I love movie nights with my children. Selecting a movie, popping some popcorn and making some fresh raspberry tea is such a wonderful and a low budget option budget option for a family of 7! However, I do not like it when the lights are off, we are all comfortable watching a movie rated G or PG and a word that is not acceptable, an "adult" intended joke, or nudity is on the screen. Therefore 95 percent of the time my husband and I view the movie before we watch it with our kids. The Sound of Music is a movie I have seen a hundred times (no exaggeration) and I am thrilled that I will be able to share it with my family this Thursday!
From executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron comes an instant holiday classic: "The Sound of Music," based on the original Broadway musical. Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer star as Maria and Captain von Trapp in this beloved story of the young man who falls in love with Captain von Trapp and his seven children, set against the backdrop of Nazi-occupied Austria. The jewel in the Rodgers and Hammerstein crown, "The Sound of Music" contains some of the most famous songs ever written for the stage, including "The Sound of Music," "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen," "Climb Every Mountain" and "Edelweiss."

Get ready to reintroduce your family to the most joyful, most emotional and most musical family adventure of them all. Three-hour live event starting at 7 PM/ MT December 5, 2013.
