In one of the most bizarre moves in recent memory, our government is attempting to radicalize Christianity while making fundamentalist Islam a moderate ideology.
The Obama Administrations insistence of labeling the Muslim Brotherhood moderate is contradictory to the credo of the group known for political assassinations and having a doctrine of Jihad while dying for Allah as their highest aspiration.
Meanwhile the government is taking mainstream Christian organizations as the American Family Association and Family Research Center and labeling them as hate groups in line with the Ku Klux Klan, Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, and Neo-Nazi organizations.http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/10/14/us-army-defines-christian-ministry-as-domestic-hate-group/
The classification of being labeled a hate group appears to be because of the AFA standard of having strong beliefs in the traditional family as a core value. A similar standard is held by the FRC who was targeted in a shooting after the Southern Poverty Law Center named the FRC a hate group.
Anti-Christian spokesmen have had access to both the Pentagon and White House and the policies that are anti-Christian are being incorporated into the landscape of the military.
Earlier this year the Army was classifying evangelical Christians and Catholics as examples of religious extremism, a strange policy since the military has been bending over backwards to label groups as the Muslim Brotherhood as moderate. The extremist label was assessed on the sole reason of being so pro traditional family and not supporting same sex marriage.
During a briefing at Camp Shelby in Mississippi, the AFA slide show during a presentation had the picture of Westboro Baptist Church preacher Fred Phelps holding a sign that denigrated gays. Fred Phelps has no connection to the AFA and it was a clear misrepresentation of the AFA. Soldiers attending the presentation were also told they could be disciplined if they were members of groups as the AFA.
Although there has been violence directed to military personnel inside and outside the United States by Islamic fundamentalists, the failure to label anything Muslim radical or extremist has been an ongoing policy of the American government based purely on political posturing and not performance. The government is going out of its way to promote Christianity as a danger while showing great restraint in any negative connotations regarding Islam.
Other branches of the military have become increasingly hostile to the traditions based in Christian values. Gay activists and anti-Christian activists have had liberal access to the Pentagon and White House and have successfully began having the military implement more and more anti-religious policies into the landscape of the military.
Values as the traditional family are being eroded away in the military and in society as the policies of avowed atheists and anti-religious people in general are becoming policy.
The AFA and FRC have appeared on other lists as hate groups. Thanks to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the AFA has received negativity from other military installations as well as law enforcement agencies that are using the list compiled by the SPLC which wrongly defames the AFA.
A talk show host, Bryan Fischer, who has a program on American Family Radio called the Army’s allegations about the AFA “libelous, slanderous, and blatantly false”.
The government is restricted by the US Constitution to take preference concerning any religious perspective and can be in violation by attempting to smear Christian organizations for whatever purpose. By showing respect for secular views, that itself can be described as having favoritism since secularism and atheism are considered religious points of view.
The concept of separation of church in state applies to government interference in the free dialogue and interchange of any religion, Christianity included.
