The following paragraph was written by a young liberal FB "friend", and is reflective of the new collective Progressive mindset. From my Libertarian perspective, it has filled me with both dread and horror, as it describes between every line the very essence of what can only be considered slavery of the spirit.
His bio says he is a 30 year old working married man, and a father of three. He wrote this...
"You there! Don't ask, You never know what's gonna happen next. . . to you or me. don't waste time trying to conquer the future with plots and plans. It's much better to endure the sufferings that come, whether or not your eagle flies for ever or just one more day on broken wings. Don't be *coullion, pour that wine, we don't have much time! You can't plan that far ahead, when the clock is ticking, even now, while we are together. In each moment, do what you need to do with less stock in faith. Seize this dusk and it's dawn."
Not everyone stands on the cusp of 2013 with hope, love, and faith. Some have no idea how to make a New Year toast, a resolution, or an oath. Some brought in the New Year with a hangover, some crying for what could have been, while others kissed their grand kids good night. All of it, both the last year and the next, are the choices we make. It would seem that we should all know this; we just act as if we don't. What would the world be like if we did?
The challenges we now face together here in America, both morally and politically, are indeed heavy yokes to bear for some. Those who tried to fight the good fight last year realize the past has a far-reaching impact into the future. Though the liberty movement has grown, only a small percentage have come to recognize that being awake matters little in an empire of lies. That every action has a reaction, and all of us are connected to share the same fate, rich and poor, moral and decadent alike. Most all do not realize that, like it or not, we are all in the same boat, as what we do has consequence, one way or the other, and it impacts all to the very last.
We, the people of the United States of America, are being challenged by powers inspired by nothing new. It has been the same throughout our human existence. It is all about greed and desire without conscience, power and control, and both our constitution, and indeed, our very souls, are being commandeered. From deep inside of the Progressive dominated beltway, to the crux and catalyst of media propaganda, our children are being taught both despondency and hopelessness, selfish gratification and lackluster fulfillment, and it is encompassing a growing faction of this generation. A generation designed to be sheep. A generation who looks for happiness, joy, and fulfillment from tyrannical authority, their god.
Here we are, bringing in 2013 with a toast for a hopeful promise of a better year... Hope that comes to the responsible by the triads of intellect, accountability, and hard work, and yet, some of our children are completely blind to this optimism, this hopefulness.
Where else could these ideals have been taught to our children but by government indoctrination in school, or by a Progressive secular mindset directed from the black box and an industry calling itself entertainment. And what responsibility does a parent have for the mind of their children?
It is a way of thinking, a new way of perceiving an old point of view, and it permeates like a terminal cancer. A cancer that ruptures to infect us all. The psychological strengths we once held in our arms are undermined, and eventually broken by these thoughts, and dreams we once had as a nation of responsible individuals with God-given rights are crippled and maligned into obscurity as if they are worthless. The fact is, without them we would be.
Yes, this I fear. I fear because there were scores of "likes" by others of like-mind under these words on his FB page....
Author's note: Though this year looks dark, for our economy, for war, for liberty, we must take heart. Not all of our children have taken such a fallacious stance on life. We have young women and men around us who hold truth, honor, and liberty in high regard. They will not let the liberty movement die, because its death is just too horrible to contemplate.
God bless the year 2013, and let liberty and responsibility ring again! And God, please bless this young man and his followers too, who can find nothing greater than themselves to live for, even as parents. Give them the spark to ignite their minds and hearts.
As a moral and ethical political writer, I have come to realize the profound loss of such an unenthusiastic and pessimistic stand, and I shudder to say that this ardent proclivity is most likely impossible to correct. It runs too deep, and the ramifications scurry to the very core of consciousness. It is the dreadful essence of what is so fundamentally plaguing our country today, and it is filling the hearts and minds of our children, those who will someday inherit our country. God help us, but no country can endure it.
*The word "coulliun" is a Cajun word for "stupid." And there, in the midst of paradise and the year 2013, there lives a nest of parasites who revel under the boot. What we are as a people we learned at mother's knee. Without that primal spark, only a miracle can ignite a dark heart. A heart filled with dark desires.
Raised a Catholic I was taught that we will all get what we deserve in the next. Seems that here on earth we all suffer together for a common denominator. The smartest suffer for the dumb, the good for the bad, and that's the way of it under a Progressive mindset. One day there won't be enough good men to hold back the evil, responsible men to bolster the irresponsible, and when that day comes there will be plenty of fertilizer for growth..., good and bad alike.
