Dallas loves Toby Love. In all fairness, though, what’s not to love about the Puerto Rican bachata artist born and raised in the Bronx? His rich vocals with a hint-of-husky twist are more intoxicating than any libation. Fans can’t get enough of Love’s personal style, which is a satisfying concoction mixing traditional bachata with urban “crunkchata.” A former back-up artist for Aventura, Toby Love began his solo career in 2006 and has since produced hit after dance-worthy hit. Women swoon to the tune of “Tengo un Amor,” dreaming that they are the love to whom Love is referring. “Te Parece Poco” and “Llorar Lloviendo” have shared equal success both on and off the dance floor.

He’s hotter than hot right now and he’s in Dallas for a concert at Oui Discotec. Ana Lucia Parada, Uptown Latino representative, says of the event:

Toby Love is one of bachata music’s pioneers and virtually everyone who has danced bachata has danced to his music. The Dallas dance community is growing in its cultural awareness and the staff at Uptown Latino is happy to be the platform to unite artists such as Toby Love with their fans. The first half of 2012 has already seen around 15 salsa and bachata concerts which is a testament to our community’s demand. We are very excited to meet such a talented artist and would like to thank Crown Music, Inc. for making it possible. Let’s all bachata the night away!

The concert takes place Thursday, July 19 at Oui Discotec (2051 W. Northwest Hwy. Dallas, Tx 75220). Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the venue will be in business until 2:00 a.m. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at for $30.00. If you're the last-minute type you can also buy them at the door for $35.00.

DJ Barney is hosting the event and will be the evening's emcee. DJ Leo Mix is bringing his vast collection of Dallas' favorite dance music to get guests' muscles moving. In the spirit of supporting local artistry, DFW-based dancers will take the stage to perform a bachata choreography. Native Dallas duo Doble L will prime patrons for live music with their single, "Vale la Pena," which has garnered more than 21,000 views on YouTube.
