Ottawa Fury FC will make their TD Place debut on July 20 when they host the 2013 NASL Soccer Bowl Champions – the New York Cosmos – in their Fall Season home opener.

The capital region’s first-year soccer side begins its Fall Season on the road a week earlier in an all-Canadian match-up against Edmonton in the wake of the FIFA World Cup.

“What better match for our fans on opening day at TD Place than to host the New York Cosmos,” said Fury FC President John Pugh. “The Cosmos are the most storied franchise in North American soccer history as the past home of internationally revered stars such as Pele, Giorgio Chinaglia, Carlos Alberto and Franz Beckenbauer. Their legendary star power is reflected in their current roster with former Spanish International Marcos Senna who featured in the 2006 FIFA World Cup and captured the European Championship in 2008.”

“The 16-game Fall Season will be a true test of ability, character and roster depth for all of the teams,” said Fury FC Head Coach Marc Dos Santos. “The nine-game Spring Season should produce some exciting rivalries for the Fall Season. This, coupled with playing in our new home will make for an exciting atmosphere at TD Place.”

Ottawa Fury FC season tickets can be purchased in person at the Stadium Preview Centre (Monday to Friday 9 a.m. 5p.m.) at 2016 Ogilvie Rd., Unit 3 or by calling 613.232.6767. Single Game tickets go on sale March 1.
