The parent club of the Binghamton Senators announced their eight game pre-season schedule on Friday. The schedule includes a trip to New York, but not surprisingly, it is not Binghamton. When the 5-year extension of the affiliation contract was signed with Ottawa a few years back, it did not include a pre-season game in Binghamton.
Instead, Ottawa will play four games away from Scotiabank Place, three at Scotiabank and one neutral game. One of those games will be played at Madison Square Garden, which will be a good chance for Binghamton fans to see what the big club has to offer for the 20-10-2011 season.
The team will play back-to-back games in Toronto against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, Sept. 21, and Wednesday, September 22. The Senators will then travel to Montreal for a meeting against the Canadiens on Friday, September 24. The fourth road trip sees the Senators take on the Rangers in New York City on Friday, October 1.
The first home game will be played Saturday, September 25th against the Montreal Canadiens. The Senators will then host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Sept. 29, and the New York Rangers on Saturday, Oct. 2.
The neutral site game will be against the Buffalo Sabres will square off in the Kraft Hockeyville game in Dundas, Ont., on Tuesday, Sept. 28. They will play at the J.L. Grightmire Market Street Arena.

- Tuesday, Sept. 21, Ottawa at Toronto
- Wednesday, Sept. 22, Ottawa at Toronto
- Friday, Sept. 24, Ottawa at Montreal
- Saturday, Sept. 25, Montreal at Ottawa, 7 p.m.
- Tuesday, Sept. 28, Kraft Hockeyville, Ottawa vs Buffalo, Dundas, Ont.
- Wednesday, Sept. 29, Toronto at Ottawa, 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 1, Ottawa at New York Rangers, 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 2, New York Rangers at Ottawa, 7 p.m.
The complete 2010-11 National Hockey League regular-season schedule will be announced on Tuesday, June 22.
