If the office Christmas party just didn't do it for you this year and all of the traditional Christmas tunes don’t move you the way music should, there’s still time to jump start your holiday celebration.
HO - HOtenki
Get your celebratory infusion of holiday cheer and alternative rock and roll when Houston’s Otenki plays the 4th Annual Xmas Holiday Bash at the Warehouse Live Ballroom tomorrow night, December 20, 2013, with The Last Place You Look, Born Again Virgins, The Soapbox Revolution, and Runaway Sun.
Together as a band since 2004, Otenki (German Alexander - vocals, Fausto Padilla - lead guitar/vocals, “Sneaky" Josh Tenorio - bass/vocals, and Enoma Asowata - guitar) has built its own unique identity and distinguished itself from the multitude of other rock bands vying for recognition on the local music scene and beyond. Otenki has accomplished this feat and gathered a loyal following through hard work, energetic shows, solidly constructed songs, and an unyielding devotion to their music and their fans. Come join the holiday bash tomorrow and experience Otenki’s dedication firsthand.
If you can’t make it to the show or one night of alternative rock revelry is not enough to wash away the aftertaste of dull holiday office parties, all is not lost.
The celebration continues
Long after the holidays have ended, Otenki has more fun planned for its loyal fans and any new fans they pick up along the way. They will re-release their “Kinetic” album renamed “The War Outside” on January 14, 2014. The revamped album which covers a variety of common themes - gratitude for their fans - “Kinetic,” coping with turmoil in life - “Violence,” and the struggle to shake off the residue of past relationships - “Ghosts,” will also include remixed versions of some of their fans’ favorite songs.
Otenki will also release a music video for “Kinetic” in the next few weeks. They will even go one step further for their fans by hosting a custom Les Paul guitar giveaway contest. This is Otenki’s way of showing that holiday celebrations come once a year, but the celebration of music never ends.
