Otakorp elects new board of directors

Baltimore, MD (September 28, 2012) – Otakorp elections have occurred and a new Board of Directors will head the corporation for Otakon’s 20th year.

The election results are:

  • President: Andrew Earnhardt
  • Vice-President: Jen Piro
  • Corresponding Secretary: Victor Albisharat
  • Recording Secretary: Marvin Vinluan
  • Treasurer: John Gluth
  • Comptroller: Matt Smiechowski
  • Members at Large: Dallas Odom, Ina Wang, Maggie DeLauney, Jim Vowles, Terry Chu, John Nadzam, Scott Argenziano

For the 20th year, Terry Chu has accepted the appointment as Con Chair. The Board consists of several President Emeritus and/or Con Chairs – John Nadzam, Terry Chu, Jim Vowles, Matt Smiechowski, and Scott Argenziano.

Otakon 2013 will be held August 9-11 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD.

ABOUT OTAKON AND OTAKORP, INC.: Now entering its twentieth year, Otakon is an annual celebration of Japanese and East Asian popular culture, and also one of the largest gatherings of fans in the United States.
