Oscars 2014: Steven Price wins Best Original Score for 'Gravity'

The 86th Academy Awards took place live from The Dolby Theater in Hollywood on Sunday,
March 2nd. The show was hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. Composer Steven Price won the Oscar for Best Original Score of the movie "Gravity".

Price was on hand to accept his award stating: "Thank you so very much. Alfonso, I share this with you. You inspired every frame of this film and certainly every note that I ever wrote. Thank you for this remarkable opportunity". He closed his speech by thanking his family.

In addition to the Oscar, Price's score for Gravity also won best score from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the Broadcast Film Critics Association, Golden Satellite Award, Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association and the Houston Film Critics Society Award.

Price is also scoring Cuarón's new NBC series Believe which premieres on March 10. Price also has upcoming film projects which include "The Fury", starring Brad Pitt, and Marvel’s "Ant-Man" directed by Edgar Wright.
