Oscars 2014: Ellen DeGeneres breaks Twitter with best selfie ever

The 2014 Academy Awards are still going on, but Ellen DeGeneres has been live-tweeting throughout the night, and she may have finally broken Twitter. In the middle of the second hour of the 2014 Oscars DeGeneres went into the crowd with her cell phone and took a celebrity selfie that actually may have broken Twitter for a little while.

Before she even posted the picture on Twitter, the site started experiencing technical difficulties and users couldn't even log-in to their own accounts.

Included in the selfie was Lupita Nyong'o, Bradley Cooper, Channing Tatum, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Jared Leto, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, Angelina Jolie, Lupita's brother Peter, and more.

The pic was taken by Bradley Cooper and DeGeneres simply said:

"If only Bradley's arm was longer. Best photo eve. #oscars"

Within five minutes, it had been rewteeted over 90,000 times. At ten minutes, the picture had been retweeted over 230,000 times. At 11 minutes, it was up to over 246,000 times and it just keeps building and going.

Soon, the number dropped back down to 150,000, and then jumped back to over 300,000. Twitter is messed up and it's all Ellen's fault.

Ellen DeGeneres is doing a heck of a job as host and the show isn't even over yet. Best photo ever!
