Feerless optimist Anna sets off an epic journey – teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven – to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olsaf, Anna and Kristoff face battle in a race to save the kingdom.

Backstage at the Oscars, directors Jennifer Lee, Chris Buck and Peter Del Vecho, chatted with reporters about their win and their plans to take the project to Broadway. “ We're in very early stages of development,” Lee said about the project. “We're still opening the film, as we say. We are opening in Japan and then we're going to take a little break and then start looking at it.”

On the movie's themes of family and on it's success, Lee said, “You know what we love about “Frozen” is we love that we're finding people are relating to the characters, and from any part of the world or what they're doing or any families and that's been huge for us. And we certainly encourage and love all the different interpretations of our characters, and what it means to people and inspires them. I mean, that's the greatest thing you could ever feel like you're doing as a filmmaker.”
