“12 Years a Slave” actress and Best Supporting Actress Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o is no stranger to winning best dressed awards on the red carpet this season, and the Oscars 2014 red carpet was no exception. Nyong’o stunned in a gorgeous pastel blue Prada dress, with a plunging neckline, according a Mar. 2 Hollywood Life report. She accessorized with Fred Leighton jewels, a headband, clutch and satin heels.
Continuing her reign as the best dressed celebrity of 2014; at least so far, the talented actress has donned sampled almost every big designer from Ralph Lauren to Giambattista Valli. Not one to shy away from bold colors, Nyong’o has become the red carpet muse of almost every designer.
Her stylist should get a special award for choosing such flattering colors, styles and cuts. From the United States to across the pond, it has been on stylish turn on the red carpet after another. As the Examiner previously reported, the “12 Years a Slave” actress took a designer page out of Jennifer Lawrence’s style book and stunned on the BAFTA’s red carpet in a strapless, belted, green Dior Couture gown, accessorized with Christian Louboutin heels and Ana Khouri gold cuffs.
It was a CHANEL night at the BAFTA’s nominees’ party, where Lupita showed off her style in a pink CHANEL outfit and purse, accessorized with Christian Louboutin heels and Cartier jewelry.
The SAG Awards red carpet was aglow with Nyong’o’s striking blue Gucci dress, but it is her Golden Globes 2014 red carpet look that has stolen the hearts of fashion lovers around the world. Rocking one of the most stunning Ralph Lauren gowns ever made, a vision in bold red, Nyong’o kept her cape dress very simple at the Golden Globes with minimal fashion accessories, including Fred Leighton jewels and her gorgeous smile.
Other recent designer choices for Nyong’o include Stella McCartney at the LoveGold cocktail party, Givenchy at the NAACP Images Awards and Giambattista Valli at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards.
