The 2013 Oscar awards are drawing near and once again fans and experts alike are trying to make their bold predictions of who will walk away with the famous Oscar trophies. Odds makers have made some nominees in certain categories such overwhelming favorites that there may not be too many surprises at the 2013 Oscars awards.
Take the “Best Picture” category. Does anyone even have a chance to upset “Argo?”
At 1/7 odds, it’s not even worth wagering on “Argo” unless you have Donald Trump money! Most predictions have "Argo" as the run away winner with the only possibility of an upset coming from "Lincoln."
The same goes for “Best Director” with Steven Spielberg at 1/4 odds for the smash hit Lincoln and “Best Actress Award” Jennifer Lawrence at 4/7 odds for “Silver Linings Playbook”
Now if these heavy favorites don’t win, then that will be considered an upset! The 2013 Oscar awards take place this Sunday, Feb. 24, at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC.
