Oscars 2013: Armani, Dior and old Hollywood glamour rules on the red carpet

Armani, Dior and old Hollywood ruled the Oscars 2013 red carpet. According to a report by the Las Vegas Review Journal, Giorgio Armani and Christian Dior were big winners of the night. The styles also brought an old Hollywood feel to the red carpet.

At the Oscars, it was all about Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence. They weren't just competing for the nomination of "Best Actress." They were also dueling for the best dressed actress of the night.

Chastain wore a curve-hugging copper Armani gown. Her trademark red hair was styled in Old Hollywood waves. Lawrence opted for a white bustier gown by Dior Couture. She pulled her hair back in an elegant bun.

FashionTV reported that the old Hollywood trend was strong. Celebrities were dressed up more than usual. Even some of the actors got groomed for the awards show. It was certainly a glamorous night.

It was Michelle Obama who stole the Oscars 2013 awards show. She stunned in a Naeem Khan silver ball gown. Even though she attended via video stream, she still blew everyone away. Until that moment, it was a bitter battle for Giorgio Armani and Christian Dior Haute Couture.
