The 85th annual Oscars was hosted by Seth Macfarlane tonight and music was the theme. This meant we saw performances beyond the Best Song nominations. Some of the additional musical performances came from Cathrine Zeta Jones, Jennifer Hudson, the cast of "Les Miserables" and Barbra Streisand. An additional performance came during the "50 Years of James Bond Movies" segment. I found myself fast forwarding this part simple because I don't care for Bond films. We also saw some slip ups because after all it wouldn't be an award show without one. First, we saw John Travolta butcher the pronunciation of "Les Miserables" and we saw Jennifer Lawrence almost trip over her dress proving that a train on a dress is impractical if you have a chance to win. Another surprise of the night came when two awards were given in one category leaving Mark Walberg to explain that he wasn't kidding. Overall, the show was what I expected. I expected Seth Macfarlane to provide juvenile joke that sometime proved to be funny and awkward presenters. Here is a complete list of the winners for each category that was televised.
