Oscars 2011: TV coverage of red carpet, awards, parties and fashion recaps

Today is a huge day in Hollywood and the networks plan on bringing every magical moment of the 2011 Oscars into homes across America with a wide range of red carpet TV specials, the Oscar ceremony itself, post event party coverage and fashion recaps. Below is a list of Oscar television specials for 2011.

E! Oscar Day Coverage:

• Countdown to the Oscars: 2:00-6:00 ET. A look back at Oscar’s most memorable moments, plus an in-depth review of this year’s nominees.
• Countdown to the Red Carpet: 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET. Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic cover the Oscars red carpet action live.
• E! After party: 12:00 midnight-1:30 a.m. ET. The E! Channel takes viewers inside many of the popular post Oscar parties, including the Governor’s Ball.

TV Guide Channel Oscar Day Coverage:

• Academy Awards Red Carpet Countdown: 5:00-6:00 p.m. ET. A warm-up from the red carpet, with stories on this year’s nominees and a behind-the-scenes peek at the Kodak Theater.
• Academy Awards Red Carpet with Chris Harrison: 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET. The Bachelor host interviews the stars live from the red carpet at the 83rd Academy Awards.

ABC Oscar Day Coverage:

• Academy Awards Red Carpet: 8:00-8:30 p.m. ET. The crew from Entertainment Tonight and ABC are on hand to catch all the red carpet arrivals.
• 83rd Academy Awards: 8:30-11:30 p.m. ET. Complete coverage of all this year’s major awards.

Oscar TV Coverage on Monday, February 28th on ABC:

• Good Morning America: 7:00-9:00 a.m. ET. Robin Roberts has been in Hollywood all week, and she’ll report on everything Oscar related during Monday morning’s recap.
• The Oprah Winfrey Show: Oprah’s Ultimate After-Oscar party. Check local listings for times. Oprah takes over the Oscar stage one last time and interviews all the big winners. Includes backstage reports from Gayle King and Carson Kressley’s fashion recap.
• Entertainment Tonight: 7:30 p.m. ET. Mary Hart celebrates her last Oscars for ET with an exclusive peek inside the Vanity Fair party.

Monday, February 28th on E!:

• Fashion Police: 11:00 p.m. ET. Joan Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic study the fashion hits and misses from this year’s Oscars.
