Jennifer Lawrence has racked up every best actress win this awards season and the Oscars were no exception. According to a Feb. 24 New York Daily News report, the 22-year-old “Silver Linings Playbook” star scored the top honor of the evening in her best actress category, winning the Academy Award over other nominees, including Naomi Watts (“The Impossible”), Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Emanuelle Riva (“Amour”) Quvenzhané Wallis (“Beasts Of The Southern Wild.”).
Her beautiful Dior Haute Couture gown almost stole her winning moment. The “Silver Linings Playbook” star tripped on the train of her couture dress as she climbed the stairs to the podium to accept her Best Actress Academy Award. Who cares about a stumble after just winning an Oscar for best actress? The elated actress brushed off the stumble as the audience gave her a standing ovation when she finally reached the podium.
“You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell,” she joked during her acceptance speech. “That’s really embarrassing.”
