The inspirational drama Chesapeake is an independent full length feature film starring Oscar winner, Keith Carradine. The story centers on an aging lonely waterman who finds hope when he rescues a drowning boy and a woman from the banks of the Chesapeake Bay. It is a visual tale co-starring the disappearing watermen culture and the breathtaking beauty of the Chesapeake Bay.

Written and directed by Eric Hurt, and produced by Sara Elizabeth Timmins, Erica Arvold, and Eric Hurt, the goal is to shoot locally in the Chesapeake Bay area scheduled to shoot this summer and a projected début in 2015, bringing much needed employment and spending to the area during the economic recession. The team is in the fundraising stage now and must secure the remaining funds in the next month in order to remain on schedule to shoot this summer. This inspirational and thought-provoking drama recently launched an “Indiegogo” campaign to assist reaching their goal. The campaign allows individuals to help make the film happen by making donations in exchange for fun perks like signed posters, exclusive dinners, and a chance to fly on an aerial scout with writer/director Eric Hurt.
