For Academy Award nominees like Lupita Nyong’o and Jennifer Lawrence, this year’s Oscar swag bag is the ultimate gift bag. “This year we had so many vendors approach the team at Distinctive Assets wanting to be a part of the gift bag. There are also several luxury items included which really boost up the value,” a Distinctive Assets spokesperson told the Business Insider.
According to CBS News, this year’s swag bags are twice the worth of last year's gifts. So what is the most expensive coveted item in the Oscar swag bag? A $16,000 voucher for a hair restoration procedure from Chicago surgeon William Yates, who uses robotic equipment known as Artas for the procedure. His goal is to “introduce the stars to the new technology,” NBC Chicago reports.
On the affordable side, Oscar nominees get to take home the $6.49 DrainWig device that prevents all the hair gained from the hair restoration procedures from clogging the shower drains.
