As Oscar Pistorius fans waited with baited breath to learn how his Valentine Reeva Steenkamp actually died in his home on Valentine's Day, Reuters was the first to report that she was shot while hiding behind a bathroom door.
News24.com reported that those four shots entered into the model's chest, pelvis, head and hand, rendering her unable to fight back against her angry loved one.
Two hours before emergency personnel were summoned by the Olympic athlete, Oscar Pistorius drew the attention of security officers on the premises of his Silver Woods gated community, as well as police, according to Beeld Newspaper.
The neighbors of the "blade runner" had complained about the couple arguing. And police were summoned to make the problem go away. It didn't, as the couple resumed arguing according to the complaining neighbor, and then gunshots followed.
When police arrived on the scene, however, Reeva Steenkamp was not in the bathroom where the alleged crime occurred; her body was in the entrance hall of Oscar's home according to the Star.
Pistorius, known by many due to his participation in the 2012 London Olympics, and his ability to overcome physical limitations as a sprinter, is currently being held in the Boshkop Police Station in Pretoria, South Africa, where he lives.
The sprinter with Nike endorsements was brought before the Pretoria magistrate court at 9 a.m. on Feb. 15 for a court hearing to include his attorney's request for bail. Police have stated they will contest any bail for the only murder suspect in the shooting death of his 29-year-old girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
