Oscar Marathons heat up Pittsburgh theaters this weekend (Video)

With the Academy Awards only a couple weeks away, Pittsburgh theaters are heating up the big screen with marathon showings of all the Oscar nominees for Best Picture. In previous years only the AMC Loews at the Homstead Waterfront would have this kind of event but, other chains, like Cinemark, are finally getting in on the act.

Cinemark, with a location in Robinson Twp. and the Mills Mall in Tarentum, Pa, will unveil five movies starting this weekend, Feb. 16th, and the remaining films will show on the following Saturday, Feb. 23rd. The cost is $30 per day or if you purchase a pass for both days it's priced at $50. The picture nominees will be presented consecutively in a single auditorium and the first fifty customers to attend will receive a prize and reduced concession prices for those that bought a marathon ticket.
