Nine films earned 2013 Oscar nominations for Best Picture on Thursday, and six are showing at Huntsville theaters this weekend.

‘Argo,’ ‘Django Unchained,’ ‘Les Miserables,’ ‘Life of Pi’ and ‘Lincoln’ are still playing in Huntsville theaters.
‘Zero Dark Thirty’ is expanding nationwide this weekend, giving Huntsville audiences their first chance to see the controversial account of Osama bin Laden’s death. The film is playing at Carmike Valley Bend 18, Monaco Pictures and Regal Hollywood 18. Rated R. Runtime: 2 hours, 37 minutes.
The French-language drama ‘Amour,’ the enchanting ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’ and ‘Silver Linings Playbook,’ a romantic dramedy starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, are not showing in Huntsville theaters this weekend.
‘Beasts’ is available on DVD, Blu-ray, Netflix and Redbox. The story is told through the eyes of Hushpuppy, a young black girl living an impoverished life in the Deep South. Quvenzhane Wallis, who plays Hushpuppy, is the youngest best actress nominee ever.

> ‘Les Miserables’ is playing at Carmike Valley Bend 18, Madison Square 18, Monaco Pictures and Regal Hollywood 18. Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe star in this elaborate version of the popular musical set in 19th century France. Rated PG-13. Runtime: 2 hours, 27 minutes.
> ‘Life of Pi’ is playing at Regal Hollywood 18. Director Ang Lee (‘Brokeback Mountain’) adapts the best-selling novel about a young man and a tiger forced to survive together after their ship is lost at sea. Rated PG. Runtime: 2 hours, 7 minutes.
