Oscar de La Renta Fall 2013 at New York Fashion Week (Photos)

Oscar de la Renta Fall 2013 collection showcased in Manhattan was everything de la Renta couture represents - rich, elegant, making a statement without being gauche about it. The brightly colored ballgowns with exquisite embroidery, classic tweed skirt suits, luxurious fur coats and beautiful French toile printed dresses were the testament to Oscar de la Renta's conservative chic style, although there were couple of more daring sheer gowns, an open, naval-revealing jacket and a skirt slit dangerously high at the front.

The collection brimmed with dashing colors from bright pink to indigo blue to classic de la Renta red with chartreuse and teal thrown in for a good measure. The accessories were whimsical with sheer gloves, bucket hats, crystal encrusted necklaces and luxurious fur capelets.

Oscar de la Renta played with volumes for Fall 2013 collection with voluminous gown skirts, hooded capes and big sleeves. Celebrating 50 years of elegant couture that involves dressing up many First Ladies of United States and the Hollywood stars, Oscar de la Renta took the bow at the end of the show with model Karlie Kloss by his side.

In the front row were designer's equally brilliant colleagues Diane von Furstenberg and Valentino.
