Orlow Richard Johnston, 88, from Weston, was identified Thursday by the Broward Sheriff’s Department as the man who was killed in the car accident that happened on Alligator Alley this week.
Little information was made available by the Broward Sheriff’s office about the car wreck, except that Johnston’s 1999 Mercury Marquis was the only car in the accident. Also, when rescue workers reached the car that was on fire, and put the flames out, they found Johnston’s body inside.
The Broward County Medical Examiner's Office has not made a statement about the cause of Johnston’s accident either; however, the Sheriff’s office believes it may have been medically related.
