Orlando weekend fun, part 3: Lego Movie weekends at Legoland Florida

Okay, so Legoland Florida isn't quite in Orlando, but it's less than an hour's drive away. The park just reopened the Florida Pool and Oriental Garden sections of Cypress Gardens, so that's a big reason to visit right there. However, if you're a fan of the Lego Movie (and who doesn't love Emmet, WyldStyle, Batman, Vitruvius, Unikitty, and even President Business?), come out this Saturday and Sunday for a chance to celebrate the animated hit.

Actually, Lego Movie Weekends will happen every weekend for the entire month. That means you can get photos with Emmet, WyldStyle, and Batman and go on a scavenger hunt in Miniland to find the hidden characters. The New York section of Miniland is transformed into Bricksburg for this special event, with the looming construction crane, Benny's spaceship, Batman's vehicle, and even Lord Business's Evil Lair.

You can also join other guests in helping to build a movie poster in the Imagination Zone. If you enjoy video games, try your hand at the Lego Movie Video Game Challenge.

For some highlights of the event, check out the video accompanying this article.

All of these fun activities are included with your regular Legoland Florida admission ticket. Just make sure that you visit on a Saturday or Sunday in March to have the full experience.
