On Saturday, September 14 Orlando based six man vocal band The Edge Effect will be previewing their debut release “Alphabet Radio” with a show at The Venue in Orlando. The band’s unique blend of a cappella, pop, R&B, funk and jazz is an entertainment experience for music fans.
The band, formed in 2011, includes winners of MTV’s “Top Pop Group” and Boyz II Men’s “Next Great A Cappella Group” as well as finalists on “America’s Got Talent.” The Edge Effect is Danny Alan (tenor/guitar), Sean Gerrity (tenor/drums), Solomon Jaye (tenor/guitar), John Gibson (baritone), Troy Dolendo (baritone/vocal percussion/keys) and Karl Hudson (bass).
The band’s debut CD “Alphabet Radio” features appearances by Marc Broussard, Shoshana Bean, Mindi Abair and Omar Cardona, with production by Jamey Tate and engineering and mixing by Grammy winner Clark Germain. The band’s signature vocals are skillfully blended with drums, keyboards and guitars to create their winning sound.
The doors open at 7 p.m. for The Edge Effect’s show at The Venue (511 Virginia Drive, Orlando). Orlando based songwriter, drummer and music producer NaturalPHIL is opening the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance on the band’s web site or $15 at the door.
