Orlando ballroom professional Mary Ladish is a 20+ year veteran of ballroom dancing, and has been in the Orlando area for most of that time. After getting a degree in Social Work and Psychology, (and having spent much of her college years training in ballet as well), she went straight to work in traditional fields which used her degree. However, after being exposed to ballroom dancing, she chose it as her medium for helping others enjoy their lives more. In her own words, "after a short amount of time and experience as a dance instructor, I saw how much dancing could actually add to someone's life."
Mary is now among the top-rated ballroom professionals in Orlando, using dance as a way to help people learn about themselves and enjoy life more. Mary has been a competitor, finalist, and champion in both American Smooth and International Standard, and teaches all ballroom dances in both styles. She has competed with her students in Pro-Am competitions and has performed professionally in numerous shows and exhibitions.
Mary is a genuine person and makes dancing easy. She accepts students from beginner to advance and truly has an ability to convey the "Gift of Dance," which is her goal on every lessons. She enjoys working with kids and teens, helping them reach dance goals while teaching them how to be young adults with confidence. Mary offers both group (in Longwood) and private lessons (various locations), of which more information can be found here. The first lesson with Mary is free, to allow the student and teacher to introduce themselves to each other without financial obligation.
