The lineup for the Orion Music + More was just released. Metallica- the band behind the concert- will headline in addition to special guests Red Hot Chili Peppers, BASSNECTAR, and Gogol Bordello. Additional performers include Dropkick Murphys, Tomahawk, Deftones, and Foals. Other featured acts are The Joy Formidable, Dillon Francis, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Orwells and Fu Manchu. The Bronx and Silverspun Pickups will also perform live.
Detroit band, The Dirtbombs, will be featured at the festival.
The Orion Music + More Festival is a metal concentric music festival which features other genres such as hard rock, punk, death metal, and hardcore. Orion will be held on June 8 and 9, 2013 at Belle Isle!
This is the first year Orion will use the riverside park as a setting for their festival. Last year's inaugural concerts were held in New Jersey. There were an estimated 40,000 in attendance for that event.
