Let the red, red wine flow! Three original UB40 members, Ali Campbell, Astro, and Mickey Virtue, have announced they are reuniting for a new album and tour. The announcement was made via the band's new website UB40.org on Friday (January 17). They also revealed plans for an upcoming tour and album. The message on their site reads:

"The three founding members have reformed and reunited to bring you the true sound of UB40. Ali, Astro and Mickey are currently in the studio working on a new album...more info soon."

In 2008, singer Ali Campbell left the band with Mickey Virtue leaving shortly after. Astro quit the band in 2013. The remaining members continued touring under the UB40 name with Campbell's brother Duncan on vocals. It is unknown whether this announcement of another band under the same name will cause legal friction.
